Okay, so it is just decorative foam! It’s nice decorative foam. It’s steps up from the traditional alphabet foam look. If you care about aesthetics although a little pricey then this is the foam for you. I also love how it came with end pieces so that you can actually close the pieces off vs puzzle piece edges. It gives the end result a more polished look.
