sustainability
Bæredygtighed (pronounced bare-eh-dyoo-gee-thel) is the Danish word for sustainability — the idea that we should create thoughtfully, use only what we need, and design in ways that care for both people and planet, now and into the future.
In Danish culture, “bæredygtighed” means living with care. It’s a mindset rooted in resourcefulness - where materials are used thoughtfully, waste is minimized, and design serves a real purpose. Bæredygtighed plays a big part in danish design philosophy and society in general.
Our play mats are made with 50% recycled foam, giving new life to existing materials. They’re built to support the rhythms of early childhood—rolling, crawling, building, and resting—while reflecting a deeper commitment to responsible production.
Sustainability, to us, isn’t a finish line. It’s a design principle. One that helps us make better things, with fewer resources, and a clear sense of what matters.
